Vice President Joe Biden Endorses Ben Jealous For Governor

Former National NAACP President and CEO Continues To Receive Major Endorsements After Securing Democratic Nomination For Governor

Silver Spring, MD — TODAY, Friday, July 6, 2018, Ben Jealous, former National NAACP President & CEO received the endorsement of Vice President Joe Biden, marking another major endorsement since announcing his campaign for governor and securing the Democratic nomination. Jealous has been endorsed by nearly 40 organizations or individuals, including unions representing educators and nurses.

“Ben Jealous has a proven track record of achievement when it comes to making sure government is on the side of working families,” said Biden. “As a civil rights leader, community organizer, and businessman, Ben knows how to build an inclusive economy that works for everyone. Ben has the courage and heart to move Maryland forward.”

As National President & CEO of the NAACP, Jealous worked closely with the Obama Administration to build public support for passage of several key pieces of legislation, including the Affordable Care Act.
